What are you listening to Wednesday?

Modest Mouse is playing a show over in Missoula in August and I am thinking of buying tickets. Live music again sounds nice - it has been quite a while. Elderly hipster music for elderlies like myself.

Geetar, this is funny as earlier today I was told "you have weird music selections" ;)

I was listening to:

The Elephant Walk-Henry Mancini -as the video of the live elephants reminds me of our trips to Africa, the movie Hatari and John Wayne, as well as our son was on a tanker in the Navy and when they refueled other ships they played that song

Class of 57 -Statler Bros. I graduated from high school before 57, but did attend a couple of reunions --have any of you attended any high school reunions and if so what music did they play

Bed of Roses-Bon Jovi. Actually I like several of their tunes

Dave, one last note about Feldor/Heavy Metal that I thought you would laugh at. When it came out, I wrote him a letter, stating the clip with Steve from the movie Bullitt was to short and where was Thelma and Louise . He did not write back
Just learned this one...looks easy don't it.

how many instruments do you play Ken ?

Geetar: Love "Alabama" both the band and song by that name

p.s. this was actually yesterday but David Allen Coe-you never even called by my name :)

o.k., I'm out guys, have fun !

I've seem to be living this song lately.

Steely Dan - Midnight Cruiser.

Felonious, my old friend
Step on in and let me shake your hand
So glad that you're here again for one more time
Let your madness run with mine
Streets still unseen, we'll find somehow
No time is better than now

Tell me where are you driving midnight cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentlemen loser
Drive me to Harlem or somewhere the same

The world that we used to know
People tell me it don't turn no more
The places we used to go
Familiar faces that ain't smilin' like before
The time of our time has come and gone
I fear we've been waiting too long

Tell me where are you driving midnight cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentlemen loser
Drive me to Harlem or somewhere the same

Tell me where are you driving midnight cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentlemen loser
Drive me to Harlem or somewhere the same

Tell me where are you driving midnight cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?
I am another gentlemen loser
Drive me to Harlem or somewhere the same

Tell me where are you driving midnight cruiser?
Where is your bounty of fortune and fame?

Songwriters: Becker Walter Carl / Fagen Donald Jay
