Not sure what rifle seating dies your using, but none of mine touch the tips.Am I the only who one presses in the tips after loading? In my mind, helps me keep from dinging the tip in the seating die.
I’ve considered the same combo for my 6.5 Swede, so very interested in your results.Load development for a 6.5cm with 130TGK and Staball 6.5. I couldn't find any load data for this combination but factory loads were listed as 2950fps and should be pretty close to that with the upper chargesView attachment 387218

This last batch puts me past what I consider the break in period with this new barrel. First ladder with the 60gn FP, new powder for both the 75vm and 87tnt. The barrel clearly loves the 87, it’s a little slower than I’d like but might settle there since it shoots so well.
256 Win MagCaliber?

I found better performance with Staball 6.5 when I switched to magnum primers.Tested the Staball 6.5 & 130 TGK's yesterday. It was a disaster & I 100% own the flyers and crappy groups. In my defense, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed less than a week ago and just could not get right behind the scope. I kept finding myself hovering above the cheek rest before the shot or anticipating recoil. I actually knocked a stich loose, it probably wasn't a good idea to shoot a rifle so soon after that procedure.
Highest charge of 46.4 avg 2922 fps, with no pressure signs at all. 46.0 was the only charge with single digit ES/SD and the rest were all over the place. I'm going to load six more charges going up to 47.6gr and should get close to 3000fps and hopefully decent grouping. View attachment 387544

130 grain ttsx in my 270 wsm, 140 ttsx in my .284 winTo steal the title from a longstanding HT thread (What are you currently reading), thought it would be interesting to hear now and then what HTNation is working on in the reloading room.
For myself, my first priority is to work up a load for my new build - 18" suppressed 7x57AI. The second is finally getting to a load for my Bergara Premier 280AI. Going to look at 140gn TTSX, LRX and Absolute Hammers for both.
Other projects dancing around in my head - starting to load for pistol 9mm, 10mm, & .357mag; starting to load for shotgun and doing the perfect load for my new 12ga Greener English double; really dialing in my load for my 6mmBR Norma for 600y matches.
That’s a solid proof for any type of garage tinkering. This afternoon I annealed around 200pc of 223 for a gas gun. I also found a pound of Leverevolution to try out.
