What are you currently reloading?

The Ruger No. 1 and the .257 Roberts seems like peas and carrots. It will almost certainly sing with Hammer HHTs if you ever burn up your supply of Sierras. I'm at 3218 with a .257 Roberts AI in a little 21-inch CZ carbine.
Wow. That’s smokin’. What weight are those projectiles?

Those are 95gr. but, given they are all-copper, penetrate as good as or better than a much heavier cup-and-core. They are hellfire on Alabama whitetail. Hammer makes some heavier .25-cal projectiles but you're going to have to be twisted a lot faster than the typical 1:10 normally seen in a Bob.

I may have to look at them someday. I load 80 gr. Barnes TTSXBTs in my grandson’s .243. They definitely do a number on deer and antelope.

I’ve got some hammer 107 HBC on their way for loading in a 25-06 with a 1-7. Initially loading em over N560, we’ll see how it goes.

Let me what what results you get, please. That could be an interesting projectile for my 25-6.5PRC build. My 25-7PRC really liked the big 127gr. HHTs.

I’m sure it would be a superb bullet in anything with a fast enough twist. It’s got a .257 g7 BC, so at 3200-3300 where I’ll be pushing it, it’ll be pretty wonderful. If I had any retumbo I’d be using that. Suppose I can go grab some SBHD or H1000 and they’d work too. I’ll let you know how it goes

Got around to loading the 165 Deep curl in the 308 winnie. Starline brass, Fed LR match primers, 43.5 IMR 4064 does Sub MOA at 200. Good enough. Loaded 50. Do not have the urge to buy another rifle to play with so I might just do some work in my off time for awhile.

Loaded some 6.5cm with 140 Fusions. My normal powder for this combo is H4350, but I have quite a bit of other powders I need to thin out so I started load development with Shooters World Precision Rifle and Staball 6.5. I really wanted to like the SWPR, but it just couldn't deliver the speed. Staball meters great, is very accurate, readily available, and cheap, but Holy crap its a dirty burning powder. I'm going to freeze some rounds and test the temp insensitivity claim next week.

.44 Special “Skeeter” loads…crimped over the leading edge of the 240 SWC because my Freedom Arms 97 has super tight and finicky cylinders…

.416 Rigby is my “other” right now. 350 gr. Bullets and a whole lotta H414…

Both are massively fun!

7-08 with 115 grain hollows for the boy.

.357 with 125 grain berry’s - haven’t loaded .357 in a long time, im excited to shoot my two 626s again.

300 win mag for with 168 grain tsxs

And if there is time tomorrow, some .500 s&w so I can knock some dust off the old girl.

Working through a set of 6.5x55 Swedes. De-primed and cleaned 100 cases, so ready for sizing.

Setting up for a new 280AI that will arrive next week. Need to break in and go through a full load development, chase load will be something in the 160gr class.

Have been thinking of adding a 44sp 97 to the stable. Was hoping they had longer throats for heavies. I love my 97s, but loading for them can be challenging at times when you have your heart set on a specific bullet.

I’ve read that the cylinder can be sent back to FA and it can be opened up a bit to accommodate the heavier bullets. I haven’t confirmed that yet though - seems totally plausible though.

My FA .44 special is a round-butt 3.5” barreled version. 240gr. SWC’s over 7.5 of Unique is giving me 1050 fps and almost 600# of energy - which is pretty darn good and the recoil is very controllable. It’s hard to imagine what/where I would need more juice than that.

That sounds like a fun gun to shoot. Probably wouldn't want to go any faster.

My back country carry is a 4.2in fixed sight 45 colt with 280gr WFN at 1000fps. If I do get a 44sp, I'll probably look to load a 260gr LBT style at the same velocity.

Seems like an ideal chamber in the FA97 would be a 44sp cut to the length of the 44mag for loading heavy bullets. I imagine you could push the 300+gr bullets at 1000fps fairly easy.

I'm sure FA would lengthen the chamber, but at a pretty high expense. I use my cylinders as a go/no go gage when reloading. Loading for a FA definitely made me a better straight wall hand loader. To get around the short 45colt cylinder, I trim my brass quite a bit shorter than standard so my 280s have the correct overall length. The hardest thing is segregating my FA loads from my Ruger loads. Those ruger chambers are so big and long that anything drops in them.

It was 88°-90° yesterday so I figured it was a good day to test Staball 6.5 temp insensitivity. I froze the shells for 3 hours, then vac sealed and embedded in the center of an ice chest full if ice. I forgot to take my IR gun but the ice was not melted when I took the shells out. I'm guessing it was about a 70° temp swing between frozen and shells left out in ambient temps.
