What are you currently reading?

Just finished these two back to back, with 'At the sharp end' last night. Highly recommend 'Old Soldiers Never Die' by Frank Richards. Hell of a read, especially if you're an old soldier or Vet yourself. 100+yo stories that are still relevant today mixed with the absolute horrors of WW1 and trench warfare.

Definitely going to give these a go!!

Almost through this. This series was recommended to me by four different people, none of whom I’d normally have associated with this genre, but all thought of me, so figured it was time.
So far, so good… I’ll give my final thoughts after it all ties together.

Finished “Open Season.”
It was good. Good enough to put a request in for the second in the series. It was also a bit predictable, but definitely in our wheelhouse.
I don’t know if it’s a series I’ll need to keep reading, but I’m looking forward to the second

Took some steps to put the phone down about a month ago. It’s been nice.

Wife got me to read the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. Total of six books. Finished that up, enjoyed it. Not sure it’s the right kind of literature for this group. But read those in about three weeks.

Just started reading Blood Meridian for a change of pace. Took a minute to adjust to the writing style, but it’s good.

I read the first 3 in the series. They got progressively worse for me. I hope you enjoy it. I really wanted to like them all.

I've been in a reading slump for most of the year. Don't think I had finished a book since January until earlier this week. Forced myself to sit down and read As I Lay Dying by William Faulkner. I loved it, one of the best books I have read in years. Will definitely reread it in the future. I had only read Big Woods by Faulkner previously, but I will definitely be seeking out more of his works soon.
