Can never go wrong using Nosler partitions.I've got a good recipe for 160 grn partitions that has treated me very well in the past I'm probably going to start there.

How old is that scope?44 W.C.F.
What do I do with it? Everything!
100 Yards
30 consecutive shots inside 4"
1,350fps, 11,500psi
950fps impact velocity at 300 yards
7 degree impact angle at 300 yards on lever terrain

I was never so happy to stop using a bullet in my life as I was with Paritions. Can never go wrong using Nosler partitions.
What you are saying regarding Barnes bullets and poor bullet expansion is old history.I am glad you are happy with the Barnes bullets. You do realize the partition was designed to lose weight in the frontal portion to create a wider wound channel right? The copper bullets do come with a caveat, in that you must use a lighter bullet in order to get the speed required for them to open properly. Six of one half dozen of the other. You spends your money and live with the results. Partitions have never let this old fudd and his older rifles and calibers down yet. Use what works for you, but don’t trash things that work.

Edit - and 270 Win.

Africa has lost 80% to 87% of it’s scavenging birds. The major causes they are dying from is lead left behind in gut piles of big game animals shot with lead bullets (always tests positive for Tin and Tungsten) and from scavenging on predators who have been intentionally poisoned.I am glad you are happy with the Barnes bullets. The bald eagles came back because we banned DDT.So in 1948 there were approximately 417 nesting pairs of bald eagles. Today? Approximately 71,400 nesting pairs. Their population is on a continuous rise.Bald eagles are now not listed as endangered. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service removed the bald eagle from the federal endangered and threatened species list on June 28, 2007, after the population rebounded. This is well documented data.
The condor is a unique situation. Yes, they have elevated lead but now it appears lead is also being introduced at high velocity. Necropsy showing birds are being shot with lead pellets.
Someone has to explain why gold eagles in AK also have same problem. WTH drives someone to shoot these majestic birds?
While we are at it, brake debris and belted tire debris are enormous contributors of heavy metals to the environment. This impact is part of the heavy metal uptake in food chain. Zinc, once considered a relatively safe brake component, became difficult to achieve non lead purity primarily due to recycling of zinc products containing lead. The food chain accumulates everything and obvious contribution to subsequent predator accumulation from prey animals.
Micro plastics raising its ugly head as well.
Lead still problem in solder whether electrical or plumbing. Historical use still problematic. Electronic products containing heavy metals disposed in non secure landfills is problem.
Very interesting and complex problem.

Do you just make up facts to fit your narrative? There are lots of questions concerning your so called facts. What you are saying regarding Barnes bullets and poor bullet expansion is old history.
For example, Barnes makes a 30 cal. 165 Grain BTTSX that is designed for magnum velocities.
Then they also make a 168 grain 30 cal BTTSX that is made to expand perfectly at 308 and 30-06 slower velocities, so they expand well even at MUCH longer ranges. They have done this with the 180 grain 30. cals too.
Barnes has had the expansion issue dialed for decades and they are clean not toxic. You can shoot a big game animal in the back country and not worry about a golden or bald eagle, our national symbol, dying from lead poisoning.
Next, there is no question about what follows. The elements Tin and Tungsten are always used in the lead for all bullets and shot. These elements are never found in the lead that is in paint or once was in gasolene and is naturally found in the earth. The test for tin and tungsten is so simple, and 100% positive. Over and over the lead particles killing scavenging wildlife tests positive for Tin and Tungsten. The poisoning to both birds and mammals scavenging on gut piles of big animals shot with lead bullets is extraordinary.
Every year shooters/hunters spray 60,000 metric tons of lead over America, Most is left in shooting ranges, but that still leaves tens of thousands of tons left in the field, every year.
