Well fattened bucks

Tote weighs 1lb 11 ounces, liver and heart is kind of cheating as an extra 4lbs. I did lose tops of shoulders and about 6” of loin there as I him him tops of both shoulders with a target bullet. But boned cleaned meat minus heart and liver is 39lbs. It’s fully clean and trimmed but I suspect once I package it all there could be a touch more trim - bringing it right back down to close to… drum roll…

35 pounds. 😂

Damn target bullets. The ivory tips are cool as Hell. mtmuley

This is the final product. 44lbs cut/wrapped including heart and liver, and an additional 4-5 pounds of neck meat (trying to maximize) for the grind bag. So I’m still thinking the hypothesis of 35# meat off a big buck is a real number.

You eat the liver or just keep it for the weight total? mtmuley

Challenge accepted! Can't wait to tally the total on mine this year. Gonna bring the hoist and gamble that fits in my truck hitch to do a thorough job. Love the heart but will probably forgo the liver.
