Weirdest Things Found

We found a SEEP (sea jeep) way up in the mountains. I must have been sunk and dragged out and up the hill. Gibson Lake area. It didn't look as good as this one. It had big rust holes in it the motor was rusted up.

I forgot to mention the weirdest thing I ever ran across. To get to my favorite canoeing and fishing spot I had to carry the canoe across the railroad tracks to get to the launching spot. One day as I crossed the tracks I see a dog leash, a pair of safety goggles and a huge anatomically correct dildo laying on the ground.

My first thought was that "I just don't want to know." My next thought was how unfortunate it was that my fishing partner that day was my 12-year-old daughter.
Now that's an awkward moment.

This is funny !
I found a big pink dildo in the edge of my woods mushroom hunting a couple years ago (got a pic somewhere).

Neighbors house is pretty close to property line there so it must have gotten heaved into the woods for one reason or another?
Anyway .... it's still there far as I know o_O

I was driving in Adirondacks and the "urge" just became unbearable so I pulled off in this little opening and ran into woods. As I was taking care of business, I looked down and beautiful leather sheath with gorgeous knife laying right on top of leaves. I was that will be mine then realize I might be standing on some else's urge.!!! Looked around and luckily it was by the next tree!!! It was a German made knife, held wicked edge, leather custom sheath both stitched and riveted. My cousin moved to AK and I gifted it to him.

I seem to find knives in weird places. I was up on Lake Champlain ice fishing. Just standing around BS'ing with couple guys. I was just kicking at a red maple leaf in the hard slush. Just wasting time. Then one more kick and a Swiss Army knife popped up onto ice! This was maybe 40+ years ago. Still have it!!! I need to find it and post up pic. Old style before plastic handles.

One more, I was hunting Missionary Ridge SW CO just after the big burn. Everything black except for new growth. I had a Magellan GPS jet black. Uh oh. So I was cruising this ridge and saw a lot of elk. No shooter. I got back to drop camp and friend asked how far? I reached into side pocket on pack and uh oh nothing but air. Dammit! That is long gone since I covered a lot of ground scouting more than hunting so it could be anywhere. But I knew my way back to that ridge where I saw elk and took buddy there next day. We got to a nice glassing spot and we were talking next move. I happened to look down and there was my GPS! NFW!! How in hell we stopped in that precise spot? My buddy brings that up a lot. That trip had all sorts of weird chit happening.

With how much time I spend in the woods for work, I'm terrified of eventually finding a dead body. Luckily all I've found is dozens of toilets.

Walking in at my grandparents farm to hang stands after the corn was fully up i turned the corner to find a pickup truck parked about 5 rows into the corn with all the doors open that had been there for a while. I thought for sure I was walking up on a suicide or homicide. Years to explain but I turned the corner and it was less than ten years away. Which is about how high I jumped. Turned out the owner staged it as stolen to try and recoup the insuramce money.

That was always a concern of mine while working in the woods. One day while driving out to the job in an area not unfamiliar with illegal pot growing, my partner and I were discussing that very topic. We got to the end of the road and started to get ready for the hike into the job site. Then we noticed some freshly dug dirt, about 2 1/2 ft. wide, six feet long and piled up about 10 inches. We looked at each other and said "No way"

We decided that unless we hear something about a missing person in the area, we didn't see anything.
