I'm not sure if Wednesdays are the official day for gun pics, but I went out this morning and took a few of my son shooting his target rifle. I was trying to get artsy-fartsy with some of these. Even though it's a little heavy for packing in the hills as a hunting rifle I wanted to share a few.

It's a Thunder Beast and an AI stock. My son and his wife are expecting a baby later this year - so I'm sure his "play-time" budget is going to get trimmed back.

Did he get the can through a trust? Been thinking of picking one up lately. Of course I'd need a new platform for it. Maybe an AR-10.

Those stocks are very, very nice.

Ben, my son is more knowledgeable on the whole suppressor process, but I know he did go the trust route and he also told me that if the FFL/shop that you get one through uses E-file, instead of the paper application method, it can reduce the wait time almost in half. When he got his I know it was ridiculously expensive and an 11 month wait.

MinnesotaHunter, it's a .308

Better get those trusts in now. You have about a year before the ATF rules on the trust/corp issue.

Very nice! I think we've been cleared to hunt with suppressors in IN and I've thought really hard about getting one. A suppressed .22lr would be sweet to have.

Heavy barreled Savages can be fun! I'd like to upgrade the stock on mine sometime...

Seriously considering a Montana Rifle Company action for a new build. They seem like the only company that makes a CRF left handed action.

Slap a Lilja barrel on it and have Dennis make a nice AAA grade walnut stock & put it all together and it's a made in MT rifle of the highest quality.

It would look great next to that Watchman .300 from Nemo.

:D

Dennis Olson in Plains?

Dennis put an Obermyer on my .338 Lapua and I am extremely happy with it. But I used a Stiller action.

JR, I believe Ben is talking about Dennis Erhardt(sp?) in Helena.
