Richard , i was told some years ago that you Brits didn't drink water because fish pee in it. Tea only!

Ha, sorry to burst that bubble, i hate tea, coffee drinker me, the fish pee just adds to the taste.

...and Arkies are wise enough to use frozen water only... to chill their libation.of choice.

Yep, if you run that water through a still it will remove the ''fish pee'' aftertaste.

I use the katadyn hiker pro at 11 oz its worth the weight even on a day trip. Its surprisingly fast to fill a camelbak bladder too. I also use the iodine tablets along with it. Necessary or not I hunt by myself alot and couldnt afford to be sick as a dog 5 miles in. I am interested to see what everyone else uses. Always looking for better ways.

Correct, well as you mentioned it i have just got home from Sea Trout fishing (like a steelhead) and we fish for them in the hours of darkness as they rarely take during the day.
4lb 12oz fresh run fish, its first run went 60 yards!
