Took the in-line for long range hunting over the swamp.
Short pictorial story \; I start out about 7AM just after light

Walked past the cannon thinking this is going to be a good day . Pulled the mode of transportation out and made my commute

Once on my stand I was able to glass the bottom very well , watch a few does and a nice 10 point who I am saving for future I shot his brother last year

Mid day I move to the back woods and watched a couple spikes and a large group of turkeys come by. Only about to get a few in the Picture frame.

Then all got quite again so I make the move back to the swamp and about 100 yards out Mr. Funky stepped into the open following a couple doe's.
I made a perfect shot he dropped in his tracks. By the time I get to him light is fading fast. It take some time from the way back to get out.

Get him back to the barn and let him hang till morning.

He was diffidently a bad source for the gene pool. But a cool hunt all the same. My youngest son shot his grand daddy about 8 years ago and I have not seen any genetics of him till Saturday. I got him in time just before he got his Mo-Jo on.
After butchering him up I loaded him on the mule to dump the remains but not before another pick and the decapitation.

as usual with a ML'er the wait is a killer for the smoke to clear. I saw nothing and then I catch a glimpse of one wave of the tail flinch way out in the center of the picture about 80-100 yards.

Very nice, congrat on a good hunt! Looks like some neat country. Very different from the hills I'm hunting.
