Painful. The old ones were 34 years old. These new ones are incredible regarding use of air conditioners this summer. Probably should say lack of using air conditioners !!

Are houses must be super similar. Also have 14 windows, built in 92, and used Anderson last summer at a similar price.

We have 22 openings...4 involve arches, 7 transoms. I'm gonna contact one local firm, perhaps Andersen Renewal, and a firm from Ft Worth.

Replaced all our windows 2 years ago. All 38 of them. Best thing I ever did was go with double hung windows. No more going on roof to clean windows on second story.

We used aluminum clad wood, double pane when we built in 2005. Besides logs, the windows were the most expensive items closely followed by cabinets. 14 windows nearly 30k 20 years ago.

The deed is done…local company with an owner I trust. 6 week window delivery, about a week for the install.
