unit 55 elk

any info or advice is much appreciated, hunted unit 55 years ago otc rifle. thinkin on archery elk for this trip. possible around the taylor park area. again thanks for any pointers, dos or don't

I use to do pretty well in unit 55for archery.Never saw another hunter in my area,but a few trucks at the trailhead.Had my best luck from about the 18th on.I wouldn't say theres a lot of elk but I had no trouble finding any.They do like to sneak in quiet there to cow calls for some reason after answering location bugles.The terrain is pretty steep and tough;high altitude
