Unit 17 Idaho The Selway

I recently Hunted the selway zone of Idaho unit 17, during the Oct-1 -31 Elk A tag. we backpacked in from a trail head near the paradise boat ramp. We saw a few bulls and almost no cows. We stuck to the higher points looking for good glassing county. My question is. Is there any one who hunts this unit who knows the names of some trail heads that have in the past had elk. we hunted the selway trail, bad luck creek and a few that branched off those. we ran into a lot of outfitters on the selway trail, I'm just looking for some general ideas on where to start next year. I also have a spring bear tag for the same unit. I'm from MN so any information is very appreciated, I saw on my OnX A trail named Indian creek anyone have any idea on that county.

Better use a Ouija board for an answer. He was here for a month 7 years ago looking for info and then ghosted us, like most newbs that sign up looking for tips on the tags they drew.

Good luck. I think there’s more elk on the moon. Fires may have a good bit of it shutdown also.

Yeah makes sense. I’ve hunted all my life and never been on a chat. Think we’re gonna get an outfitter to drop us in there. Simplify things.
