Tuesday Tunage - Culturing Tradewind

I actually hadn't heard the original... and yeah that is a raw version of a song that is raw to begin with.

I sometimes wonder the best way to view the cultural import of the cover when the cover is much more well known than the original... e.g.

In some instances, absolutely. Dillon's version isn't nearly as well recieved as Hendrix's, and Hendrix's actually moved the needle on cultural aesthetic for Rock & Roll, but one could wager that Dylan going electric at Newport in 65 was a farther reaching cultural event, shifting the popular idiom into the true rock & roll era versus the pop/R&B focused side of the equation.

To add as close as I am able within Mr. Tradewind's Tuesday music theme. /tips hat
