Trash tag excitement

That sounds like a great hunt. I would have gladly done the same, and hope that I get to next season

Well lost my job, had two heart procedures including a defibrillator install, now waiting on SSDI disability claim. So I have much more time available now. If budget allows, I’ll be applying for many trash tags next season!

I know you have had some great hunts and epic critters under your belt. I know that I've experienced a lot of stress with a good tag to "make the most out of it" AAAAANNNNNDDDDD, I've also experienced the letdown of hyping a good tag up in my mind just to be smacked in the face with the reality when i get boots on the ground.

i think a general tag might make you do more footwork ahead of time to get to know the area and find the niche areas others will overlook. You also have lowered expectations when you start and the increased exposure in the unit makes you feel like you are being effective as you go through your process of elimination.

It also makes me enjoy the other aspects of the hunt like setting up a nice camp, taking scenery photos, seeing non target wildlife...etc. Feels much more holistic
