Trapping Thread 2026/2027

Conservation agent called yesterday. She has a farmer with a beaver problem, talked to the guy on the phone and I am going to go check it out friday. I am ready to start getting some sets in the ground. For you guys who trap beaver do you think they will be worth trapping the week of thanksgiving? Last year was our first year trapping beaver so I am pretty new to it

I think you'll be fine by Thanksgiving. If you catch a few thin ones the hat market will still pay decent for them.

The job is 30 min the other way from our main trapping area but the farmer said we could trap anything we wanted. So the plan was hit that area hard and then we can set all around the house when the boy comes home from Christmas break. Going to try and break 100 raccoons this year. And I figured we could use those beavers to practice on. we are going to try putting up our own fur this year
