Walking up the road, black tipped tail, good coat, is that a fawn or a blond cub?

Cub up in the tree only a black one visible. Momma isn't letting that wolf near that tree.

Working on building a 12 mp trail cam, so I am zoom in on this type of stuff and really see what the heck.

Awesome Draht! That is very cool. So with as much bear/wolf activity you're seeing from this cam, do you see much for elk and deer in the same spot?

Yep. Lots of deer and elk. Honestly, I had 272 pics at this crossing in three weeks, No bait, just a crossroad. bucks does, bulls cows. You can study the times, they are intermingling quite closely. Then they started logging and cleaning up this area(micro burst flattened hundreds of acres of trees along the foothills there) so my pic count went to like 355, I got lots of pics of skidders and chokers and logs. And that didn't deter the elk and deer either.
I have 4 cams on this 1000 acres, lots of elk and whities. Its the mulies that have disappeared from here for whatever reason. The landowner has logged a lot of his property, but keeps a bunch thick, for fawning and calving areas, where its tougher for wolves to catch em. They really hang out down in there this time of the year. I got one pic of a wolf chasing, down in that thick stuff.

You are the Trail Camera man.

I can't tell on the brown thing, but it sure looks like the black cub may have not made it.

Awesome pics, you get some great stuff on the cams.

You can almost see the wolf's evil soul in a couple of those ;)

I was kind of feeling sorry for the woooolf, he looks kind of hungry/scrawny..... The bears seem to be eating better than he is..... well, maybe not the two little ones.....

Always tough to get a pic of their eyes, I have hundreds of pics of wolves, very few of their eyes.

I am also curious about the submissive tail posture of that wolf throughout all this. Whenever I get this one on cam, he is always looking proud and confident.(I took a leak right in the middle of the road there, he is marking over it)
