Trail cam sequence, pretty interesting

Cool series, there. You sure do get a lot of predators on your cameras. Surprised you guys have any deer and elk left. ;)

As can be expected from you, truly awesome pictures.
Did you take a bear out of the population this spring?

Nope. I didn't see any big boars until the season was over. Admittedly, I am not much of a bear hunter. I would like to be, but I suck at it. I think I wait around too long looking for that jaw-dropper, and spend too much time deciding how big they are and lose opportunity. They could sure extend the season for 103 106 107 until June 15 and I don't think it would hurt. Just when things get good up here you have about 1 week left.

Cripes, I walked up on a clearcut north of were all these pics were taken and stared at 8 bears at one time, never in my life have I seen that, it looked like a zoo. I was looking around thinking Jim Shockey was going to come out of the bushes with a camera. Not one boar though, all sows and cubs. Sat there for an hour and a half thinking that a boar has got to come in here and check em out, what an opportunity!

Hell, you're lucky. My unit closes May 15th, I've got about a week where there's good activity before they shut it down.

Yeah, I live in 106 with NF land about 2 miles away, so I choose that. And we have actually had winter now for a few years running.

I actually had a guy complaining that there weren't any bears around. I almost started laughing. I didn't kill one, but it isn't because they aren't around.
