The boy said he wanted to climb" Mount Jerusalem" of the lower Bitterroot range. So on Friday we headed out to give it a go.

Took most of the day coming and going. It's around a 14 mile hike with some good elevation gained and lost.

My legs let me know how poor of shape their in.

1st photo is of Watchtower Pk

I like that you did it as a loop. Too many times we tend to go out'n back and not really see the country.

Looks like that was a steep mutha coming down!

Sweet trip. back in my younger days we hiked up and skiied trapper peak sometime around the end of june.

That looks like a fun hike. In all the years I have lived around there I never climbed Trapper...I think I will give it a shot next week when I get some time off. Have you gone up the chute south of Gem Lake? If you have do you think my lab could make it up that way? He has tons of rock hopping and scrabbling experience.

Now that is a great adventure. I wish I could have been there. Thanks for posting some pictures of it.

I have not went that route. I know people that have taken dogs with them though.
