Too much success, too early?

He still likes to hunt, but absolutely loves fly fishing. The kid took to the outdoors immediately and always wanted to go hunting and fishing.

I imagine that anyone who quits hunting because it’s hard to top early success was never really interested in hunting in the first place. That thought doesn’t bother me.
Just because I never went back to Lake Havasu for Spring Break following the MTV experience of 1995, does that mean I'm not interested in beer, chicks, sunshine, and a good time?
