Yeah this has been talked about quite a bit on here. Many, including myself, who have hunted this area think its probably a step in the right direction.

Honestly I dont understand why every state doesn't go to a pick your week/unit style system. Instead of one tag for several weeks-month you have several 5-10 day tags. It would be decreasing efficacy (by limiting hunt days) and increasing opportunity (by allowing more hunters to participate). As the population continues to expand, increasing opportunity will have to dominate the discussion.

I agree. Some states allow hunters to hunt on the same tag through archery, muzzleloader and rifle season for months. These same guys cry about not being able to draw their perceived monster buck or bull area while at the same time being able to buy otc tags and hunt every year. They want to have it both ways.
I do realize that most states have many more game animals that NV so they can have be more liberal with their tags. Limiting their options would also decrease hunter congestion.
In NV we have to pick our weapon and that limits us to only that season, usually 7-10 days. If we can't get it done in that time period we just have to eat tags soup and wait for next year.
