Time to Apply for Wyoming Preference Points

Wyoming is currently accepting applications for Preference Points for antelope, deer, elk, moose, and sheep.

Because the applicants with the most Preference Points are the ones who get limited licenses, it's crucial to maintain Preference Points in states where they're offered.

If you didn't already apply for a Wyoming license and pay the Preference Point fee up front, you can apply for Preference Points now between July 1 and September 30.

Damn...pretty sad to think it cost you as much for just preference pts as it would for a deer or antelope tag. And that is for only one state!

I'm already in for deer and antelope. Debating Elk I fear it would take 200 or 300 bucks in elk preference points before I could draw a decent tag.

Can you still buy a point if you applied for a tag and didn't get it but didn't apply for a pp?

Yes, I believe you can.

At least out of staters get preference points for elk, deer, and antelope. Its been ten years and can't draw a tag.
