Personally I would like to discuss the merits of long range hunting with a 22lr, or 22 MAG.
This was one of the best I have seen since the old survival threads.
Would 80 yards be considered long range?
Then discuss which caliber would be best for these said LR shots.

Naw, 100yrds is a piece of cake. Killed many a gopher at that range. Drop is 3-6 inches depending on ammo. Stretch that to 150+ its gets interesting and I have to "walk" em in, but they usually get picked off.
I'm thinking 300 yards with the LR, and 450 with the MAG. That's a lot of clicks... energy will be marginal for elk at that range too, so the shot placement has to be perfect.

A real hunter would strip down to their skivvies and belly crawl the last 70 yards through lava and broken glass and shoot it with a blow gun dart out of their butt
