there must be struggle. There must be suffering. They both serve to make success so much sweeter when it eventually comes. Whenever it comes. There is no hurry. We wait.

Today was a teaching day. Dave was a whitetail hunter, not an elk hunter. There is a lot of stuff that he has to learn in a high pressured public area. Tonight we learned about glassing. We are pretty far from the killing part.

Tim and I worked our arses off today learning the area. Think we have figured enough out for a good plan for the AM.

That's sort of crap because I've killed 3 bull elk now whitetail hunting style. It totally can be done and those tactics work on elk too. One of these days I want to kill an elk out of a tree stand
