we have planned another trip to Vicksburg, MS to fish for the Elusive Catfish, I have the boat ready, the new rod & reels are wound with 80 lb. braided line, the motorhome is fueled up and I am fired up to Kick Forked Tail! Later, John :D

Good Trip!, Not alot of fish caught, but the ones that we caught were nice. One boy brought a Video camera and the one who normally brings his Digital did'nt!!! Anyway we got to the River and it was down about 6-7 foot. Places my cousin showed me were not acessible because of lack of waterflow. We set up down stream from a Grain elevator loading barges, everytime he moved the barge to fill another compartment he dumped hundreds of pounds of grain into the river. BTW they have just started to harvest the corn, so I am probably a couple of weeks early. It is just a three hour drive from my house, so I will try it again when the water level increases or whenever I can get away! We are so dry around here that several times we saw Deer come out of the woods and cross sand beaches to drink from the river. The motorhome got real good gas (diesel) mileage pulling the pontoon boat, I used just over a half a tank for driving about 400 miles. Thats better that what I used to get pulling a fifth-wheel behind my truck. Everyone (5 of us) had a place to sleep and shower, so it was comfortable. PLUS, the wife made a big nanner pudding and a pecan pie and put in the refrigerator as a surprize. John
