The Great HT 2026 weigh in.

Can you bike?
Funny you ask this. I have not been able to due to the plantar fasciitis. I just was able to get back one my bike yesterday. I did 1/4 mile out and back just to see how my feet would respond.

My trochanteric bursitis incident last week responded well to the prescribed therapy. Back is behaving for the moment.

I'm easing back into exercise.

It's been a solid year of training but final check in before the season. I know these scans aren't considered the best but it's what I have available. Surprising what losing bf% will do to your look cause I wouldn't have guessed I lost any muscle. February scan on the left and today on the right.....it's go
time !!

I keep hoping Tillamook Ice Cream will file for bankruptcy. We have 5 different flavors in the freezer. I hit a brief 222.4 . My willpower sucks.
Did a bunch of things today including some miles on the bicycle. Picked up a container of white chocolate raspberry today and even after this bowl I stayed under 1900 calories today.20260828_200738.jpg

Major milestone today! Even though I had a bowl of ice cream last night I was down to 182 pounds flat this morning! 30 pounds since I started. Smaller jeans, had to re-lace the waistband of my leather chaps so I can buckle them without having them sliding down. Not sure how much more I will lose but I'm happy that I got this far!

I have it wrote down on a white board at the house 257# that was the day I left for Alaska last year. This morning headed out the door 219.6# I’ve added a pretty fair amount of muscle back on since then so I really can’t complain to much. My 1-2 weight on the bench I’m hitting for 20 so I’d say it’s been a pretty solid year of progress

Stepped on the scale today for the first time in a while.

174.4 after a couple post work/workout Miller Lites.

Been hitting the weights fairly consistently and with vigor. Lots of kettlebells as well. Didn’t think I had put on 5ish pounds of muscle, but I seems that’s been the case. Not too upset to be a little stronger going into elk season.

Feeling spry, for 35.

Here’s a twist on the usual annual weight loss thread.

I put on about 18 pounds from Thanksgiving through yesterday. The family is all gone now and the feasting is over.

My youngest son got hired in 2025 as a USPS mail carrier. He is walking never less than 14000 steps a day. He has lost 25 pounds in his first 90 days. He eats whatever he wants.

I am inspired to do the same. I will begin walking my usual 6 mile loop to and around the school section near me. Every day. Rain or shine. I’m not 33, so I doubt I will hit the eat whatever I want zone. How cool would that be.

I will post a photo of my weight on my digital scale on New Year’s Day. I will reply to my own post weekly with my new numbers.

My goal is to be 230lbs by the August 2026 opener. 200-210 by the 2027 opener.

Anyone want to play along?
Good Luck, you got this!!!
