I’ve been neglecting exercise lately. Good news next Friday I leave for 2 weeks in FL. When I’m away I do a ton of walking carrying a backpack or a kid, or pushing a stroller. I also hit up the hotel gyms most days as a novelty.

I use it as a treat if I manage to keep my calorie intake low. It's been a little while but there's hope for a scoop now and then!

187.8 this morning. I splurged and took the trike for a double chocolate chip sundae this afternoon after raking grass in my yard. Looks like rabbit food salad is on the dinner menu today.

Finally broke through and got under 186 the past 2 days. Just pedaled 8 miles in 44 minutes and my legs are jello. Been a minute since I had the bike out and now that the heat and humidity has broke I'll be doing it more often. Once I recover I'll hop on the Harley and get it gassed up again. Still watching the calories and limiting my treats. 180 will be a good goal to aim for and I just might make it.

Gotta say remodeling a house is the best weight loss program i've ever used. started at just a pound or two around 210, now down to just over 190 in just over 5 weeks. gutted our new house down to studs, moved a bunch of walls, and have been putting it all back together again. every night from when i get off my real job until 9pm, every weekend from when i wake up until 9pm. i'm exhausted, but i feel light on my feet. too bad my archery szn will be cut short due to the remodel, but i'll still get out a bit.

Steady at 175. Was around 178 for a while, but a bit more frequent dirt bike rides took that duff right off. At 64 it takes a bit more to stay fit.

Get that poison out of your freezer. You can't eat it if it's not there. Willpower starts at the store. Don't go down that aisle. Say out loud "Poison!" when you get near it. It may help.

Nah, you absolutely can win.

Step 1 = get them to retest you after at least 5 minutes of relaxing in the doctor's office. Often will drop right out of the elevated zone.

Best non-drug ways to lower high blood pressure​

• Lose excess weight — often one of the strongest interventions if overweight.
• Exercise regularly — target 150 min/week moderate aerobic activity; add resistance training.
• Reduce sodium — especially processed/restaurant foods; aim around 1,500–2,300 mg/day.
• Eat DASH-style — vegetables, fruit, beans, whole grains, fish; minimize highly processed foods.
• Increase dietary potassium — vegetables, fruit, beans, potatoes, dairy, unless kidney disease/medications make this unsafe.
• Limit alcohol — less is better for BP; heavy drinking clearly raises it.
• Stop smoking/nicotine — nicotine acutely raises BP and cardiovascular risk.
• Get adequate sleep — generally 7–9 hours; investigate significant snoring/suspected sleep apnea.

First off,,, I don't go to the store! Whenever my darling wife goes shopping another flavor of Tillamook appears in the freezer at home. There's 6 different flavors in there now. It may be an attempt to collect my life insurance but there's plenty of faster and easier ways to do me in .
