The 5 year AK plan.

The planning has begun. I’m in hopes of having my ducks in a row for an Alaska brown bear and moose combo...5 year plan.

After hunting season this year I’ll start poking around to find a guide that has the to let me handgun hunt the critters....always a challenge.....and normally have to spend the first day shooting with them to prove that I don’t have to be 5’ from the critter and can probably shoot the handgun better than their average rifle hunter shoots a rifle....

500 JRH. Which is basically a short 500 smith. It fits in a standard size gun vs the monster x frame.

Moose...I may just use 44 magnum. We shall see. My first moose was with a 44.

I have a lot of specific questions and my biggest thing is I just want them to treat me like any other rifle hunter that comes to camp.

I do not want “special” treatment or to be limited to what a bow hunter does since I will use a handgun.
