Some red snapper from about 70 ft of water over a shipwreck the second day of season. About 20 went out on the boat in 10-15 ft swells, we got drenched.

The boats full catch that day, red snapper, baracuda and sharks, with my honey and neighbor in the picture too.

Here's some sea trout off a lighted pier. The shrimp come into the light, then the trout. Some dolphins where there that night also.

How much chumming was going on? It's been quite awhile since I last ocean fished, some good eating fish out there - as long as the seas are smooth I'm all for it. Congrats.

I think I'll go inside the boat next time there's good sized waves to get less wet. We three took dramamine, but one still chummed some good breakfast over the side. The good sized boat made it better.

It goes out of Port Aransas, a popular place on the coast here.
