Teej's 2020 Adventures

Really cool country. That spot with the spotter set up looks like a great place to find a bear too...

That doe looks well fed. Nice pics, planning to get out with my kids on a fishing trip in the next couple weeks, they want to try a longer hike so doing some training hikes around the house to get ready, that scenery is calling!

Weekend scouting trip update, finally saw my first legal buck! And at that, 3, potentially 4 legal bucks in the same drainage!

It was a miserable hike in after work. I was predicting 4hrs and it took 5.5....

On the last stretch I bushwhacked through a not ripe huckleberry field. Almost at the point of exhaustion I stopped in a patch of timber that was EXTREMELY flat on this steep slope. Thought about setting camo until I found this massive bear dropping in it, see boot picture.

Only two relatively okay pictures of the bucks, sorry.

Caught this dude for about 10 seconds when the fog lifted and he realized the sun was out full force ha!

Squeezed in a very brief overnighter to check it a drainage I found in GE. Only 3.5mi in but the trail cuts out at mile 2.5 and you still have another 800' to gain, that was a whammy.

GE bamboozled me too. What looked like a lush green meadow from valley to ridge was over my head brush on the ridge.

Glassed 4 does, a spike and this forkie.

Had this basin in mind all summer, finally visited it to be disappointed with no water. Theres one lake and it's so steep into it you virtually need rock climbing gear. Found a beast of a bear but that far in with little water and the hell hole he was in he'll die old.

Oh also 3.5mi of the trail was all deadfall, that was an unpleasant surprise.

The last pic is down where the bear was and our water source I was about 200yd from him, you can see him at the top left of the right most tree 20200828_164049.jpg20200828_111103.jpg20200828_184918.jpgIMG_0355.jpgIMG_0375.jpg
