This morning as I was driving to the gym, so not to skip leg day, I passed the gas station where I purchase gas and diesel. Diesel is the price that always catches my eye. It was up roughly 40 cents from a few days ago. I guess I could saw thanks Donnie.

I have to admit it is pretty impressive how much thought went into the pardoning of all of the January 6 patriots.

I don't think Canada supplies quite that much of our oil needs, but it is substantial. I'm a retired refinery worker and I'd guess your number is close to what our refinery used. Given the refinery is in Montana, we are kind of a one off.

We stabbed you in the back concerning the Keystone pipeline. That would have gotten Canadian crude to the world market.

As your comments suggest, one of Canada's challenges is getting full market value for its vast oil reserves. We should have helped you do that.

Canada is 60% of our imports, not our consumption.

Regarding Exxon's stock, that happens to be the company from which I retired. Not included in those charts is the dividends that have been paid. The yield varies, of course, with the stock price, but it augments the total return substantially. It has been nice to have in retirement.

Even before I ever began working for them, my answer to people complaining about oil companies bending them over, has been anyone can buy shares and get on the supposed gravy train.

You have to factor in consumption.
