Can I answer for him ? 
He dropped me a line last wee and Said he's gonig to drive clear through and Meet me at the Trailhead late Friday Afternoon. I was like "If we leave a Bit earlier we could start hiking in a little ways to get a Jump start."
So.... Now I'm taking Friday off, Leaving earlier and meeting him at the Trailhead at 3:30(ish) +- any error in his and my drive. He says he only wants to Hike in 5-6 miles... but I'd be surprised if we stopped hiking before Midnight ...........
I spent 3 hours going through Hunting stuff yesterday after He called and I don't have 1/2 the crap he's bringing......
I'm on Cloud nine and I'm not packing more then a Camera. I'm guessing he's not sleeping well. At least I hope not, Thats the Only Chance I have in him not Hiking my A$$ in the ground !!!!!

You betcha I'm getting excited.
It's been cool and raining here all weekend. Really gets me going. I've been trying to spend most of my time with the wife and kids, but it's hard paying attention due to sheep on the brain.
I'm feeling great in all aspects of the hunt preparation. I'm armed with better knowledge of the area and more experience. There were 0 rams killed in the unit last year. There will be some big mature rams in the area. Positive thinking says I'll be tagging a big fatty.
I just hope my old Ford F150 makes the 12.5 hour trip!

Hey, We should talk again, I don't remember if I was to pack the 2 Smaller Dutch Ovens or the One large one. Either way I think it will work ....
I'll Email over My list Wed night. Go through it and then look at the Weight and Add whatever you feel you need to from yours. I'm not looking foward to Adding to much but My guess is you're Easily 20# over mine, Hell for the Price you're paying me you should be using the Crap out of me 5 more nights with your Wife then you have me for a weeks or so big guy !!!!
On a Serious note, I looked up your Tent and it looks pretty cool. I'm guessing you have the Setup figured out up on the Rocks ?

Good luck! Pack the camera for sure, plus batteries, plus SD cards or whatever it takes like that. Dutch ovens, aren't they kind of heavy, geese?

T-Bone, I assume you are coming in from Salmon. Be very careful. I have never been in a Ford truck that could pass up the PCI. Its some sort of weird Physics thing. You get to panther creek and the truck just turns in at the PCI and won't start and let you leave until you've manage to partake of more than your share of Barley pop. They usually have mud wresting about this time of year. Don't get crossed up in there and miss the first day of your trip. Its happened before. At least Moosie is not going that way, he could headquarter out of there for days telling stories shooting guns and fighting with the loggers.

I'll try to resist the temptation at the Panther Creek turn off. I'll be coming in from Butte to North Fork on hwy 43 then hwy 93. Never have been on that road.
Can't think of any other place I'd rather be going. I'm much more psyched about this than I was about going to AK last year to hunt swamp donkeys.
Oscar, kinda wondering how the tent will work on the rocks. We'll figure it out.....If all else fails, we can still spoon.

With Hi's in the 70's, I'll be wearing shorts in. The gear is all ready to roll witht he exception of the sat. phone. It'll arrive tomorrow according to FedEx.
I'll be leaving here tomorrow evening. Overnight in Billings or Bozeman and be at the trailhead by early afternoon.
Strange how things work. This week I've been slammed with crap monkeys at work. Crap monkeys that would make the average man postpone the trip. But I say "Crap monkeys be damned, I'm going sheep hunting". It's the power of a positive "I don't care" attitude.
