Had a few swans fly over the house the other day, so decided it was time to see what GuNR could do with the big white bird today.

Weather was crappy, but swans were plentiful. After I killed mine, I had a couple more land in the decoys 20 yards away. A few more probably would have followed suit, but they seemed to be shy while I busting some other fowl.;)

Sorry, only pic I got of the swan. Wet snow made camera time very short. Foggy glass and snowflakes didn't help me either.

GuNR was going after a dead pintail when I whacked the swan. He was within 10 feet of getting his ass kicked by a dead swan raining from the sky.:D For a youngster, he looked like a veteran bringing the big bird to hand.

Good job and great pics. Looks like your getting some snowy weather.

Too much wet snow for me. The tent was comfy last night, but being wet and cold, I didn't feel like pulling it two nights in a row. Guess I am getting old.

Great pictures...they really make me miss hunting waterfowl.

Congrats on the mixed bag.

Congrats on an awesome day.

Not to steal any of any GuNR's glory, but Ruger managed to fetch a couple of swans today as well. Not quite as cool as landing in decoys, but it's still fun sitting out on the dikes.

Great pics MTMiller and MHMT!
Looks like some enjoyable times!

Good to see Gunr and Ruger out doing their job. I have a bloodhound finally reaching those days of unwinding from his youthful moose like running.

Again, great pics! As usual.

Congrats to all on the Swan's! Here in Idaho we protect them so everyone else can shoot'm. I sure would like to have one stuffed in the house. They are one cool looking bird!
