Finally managed to fill my buck tag on Saturday. Public land special permit. I broke my collarbone in early October and have been pushing the doctors instructions to the limit ever since. He was only the 3rd good buck i've seen this season. I ended up taking him shooting left handed with a pretty long poke from my wife's .243. He only went 20 yards. Lucky for me I had a great friend with me that did all of the hard work getting him out. Never tried put pics on before so we'll see how it goes.

Beautiful buck. Congratulations. Even better to enjoy it with a good buddy.

It was. I'm sure you know the range.

You did well then. I've been glassing and hunting up there this year looking for elk for the son but haven't seen didly for bucks. I had the tag last year and went without. Saw 6 bucks and 14 does all season. Pretty sad cause it used to be an absolute great mule deer unit. Wish they would eliminate the doe tags and cut the buck tags and help it rebound.

Congrats again on a good deer.

Good job! I had that tag last year as well and never punched my tag. I did see two different bucks I would have taken and really messed up my opportunity on Thanksgiving day last year. I think I saw a total of 14 bucks and just a handful of does. 9 of those bucks were on one day... tough hunt for sure.

nice buck. I broke my collarbone years ago, and it does make it hard to do much. . .even the simple stuff . . .way to go.

Congrats, I will reiterate that that is a good buck for that area and one of the better ones I've seen taken on public land.

I have picked up quite a few sheds up there and that buck would rival the best I've found.
