I’ll end up cutting 4-4 1/2 cords this winter. I keep about 1 1/2 in the shed in case we get too much snow to get into many places. I usually just cut ad I go and road hunt a lot of wood.

I’m just glad we have hardwoods here. I see those poor guys where there’s nothing but pine with a mountain of wood. Big oak logs burn all night.

I agree, regardless how you split it good crisp day and splitting wood is hard to beat.

I think hiking around hunting is similar for me. Gives time for the voices in my head to air their grievances with each other and sort out their problems for a while.

yep, my son and I split up 2 walnut trees this past weekend. Wife came out and said she would stack it. What a women. !
