We have great grays, great horned, boreal, short-eared and northern hawk owls.
Snowy owls to the north on the north slope of Brooks Range.

Did I see some houses crashing into stormy surf recently on the Outer Banks?

Yes, some older cottages that were not protected by current dune line’s fell victim to a bad nor’easter we had a couple weeks ago. They were already likely uninhabitable prior to the storm though.
