I love summertime. The only problem is that there is always something going on every single weekend and most evenings, and my garage is a mess. My work bench is covered in crap, I got rid of the little tent trailer that belongs to my mother-in-law (took it back to her house to clutter up her garage ;) ), bought a bunch of shelving units (all that Home Depot had on hand of the kind I wanted) and need some more.

BUT - I need to basically empty out the garage, put everything on the driveway and then sort it all out, put it into labeled storage boxes or bins, assemble the shelves and put everything away. That is at least an all-day project and I don't have a day to do it. There is not enough time after work, as I do not want to leave stuff outside overnight or all day the next day in the front yard.

Then I could get to my reloading bench and get some ammo put together. I need to get practicing for deer this Fall and I need to determine which load to use. The garage has to be cleaned out first, though.

I need to kill something.

...same here Cali. I need to put last years Co. elk camping/hunting crap up so I can drag it all back out in about 3 months. :)

I still have gear out from Africa to put away, and the suitcase is still in the family room. I keep my hunting clothes and gear sorted by weather - rain gear in one box, cold weather stuff in another, hot weather clothes in still another...then there's the gear. Binoculars (large, small and medium), day packs, fanny packs, knives, game saws...

I need to get my ammo in one location - some is on one side of the garage (.30-06, .30-30, shotgun shells, bulk .223 and 9mm ammo from Y-2K  )
and the rest is by my workbench.

At least since we got the toy hauler, the quads and most of my camping gear is in it now and out of the garage. It seems, though, like the more I condense, the more my wife and son's stuff expands. :(

Hi, Tom - which is it you have to do?

Clean the garage, or kill something? ;)

I may have to make some calls about a hog hunt, but it is so dang hot that they are probably completely nocturnal!

"...but it is so dang hot that they are probably completely nocturnal!" (quote Cali)

Hot & humid...lots of high vegetation due to the rain...plenty of food & hides for em right now...here and in central Texas. I see quite a few in sunlight...w/out my rifle.;)

It's been so hot and dry here, I went to Montana last weekend and it felt sweltery...

Kind of an odd sensation since it's usually starting to dry out up there by now...

I have a shop full of antiques, 2 gallies 15'x60' stuffed with antiques and a shop full of work and I can't get to my hunting stuff from last year. I still need to wash all my camo and organize all the hunting gear. I want to either start finishing the stuff in the gallies to sell or have a sale. But going fishing up on Ontario fishing is just a little more intriging on the weekends. Sept.15th will be here before I know it chit, so will Sept 1st for dove season.

I'm in the middle of the summer doldrums. Hard to believe I'll be chasing my billy in only 10 weeks. I'm done with summer.

In another 2 weeks this area of South Dakota will be flooded with 700,000 nekkid Harley riders. Strange things happen around here. We're renting our house out while the family takes a vacation back to Idaho....I can't get the time off from work, so I'll be staying in the camper...with a 12 guage.

I recently signed up for the local YMCA lazy man triathalon to help prepare me the goat hunt. How hard can a 3 mile swim, 110 mile bike ride, and 21 mile run be? I dunno, but I'll be finding out (by the way, I have 4 weeks to complete said distances...hence, the name.)

It should be a great fall. Bird forecasts are looking somewhere between above average to HUGE depending on the area. I'll try spot and stalk achery speedgoat in a month, just to have some fun. Should have a few deer tags in the pocket as well.

Hell, all's I seem to have time for right now is work...and helping with the baby. Bad thing is that it's in that order. I'm building up some annual leave, of which I have big plans for this fall. Now if TMOB will just let me use it...the leave I mean... :D

Haven't had time to get the summer blues. I've worked just over 750 hours since the middle of May (9 weeks), so that I can take off as much time as I want this fall for hunting. I've got 6 tags so far with the option to buy 5-6 more, and friends have drawn some great hunts I'd like to tag along for. It's looking like a busy fall. ;)

T-Bone- Six weeks was on Monday. Too bad TMOB was 1600mi away with the kid in the hospital... :( I'm guessing St. Helens (Mount that is) doesn't have anything on me... :D
