Have any of you guys that have chicken ever seen these little bumps on the outside of the shell?
We have 4 chickens and I think only one of them is laying these eggs. They look completely normal inside and they taste like any other egg.
Just curious as to what might be causing this.

It could be true but I would think since all the chickens are eating the same thing more than one would lay eggs like this.

I have one chicken that has roughness on one end but nothing that severe.

Maybe one of your chickens is a greedy asshole? 🤔

The chickens we have had def had a leader. And that one always ate first...

I believe it's extra calcium as others have noted.

Also as he's age their eggs get larger. Their eggs also will often be less uniform is shape and the shells get thinner. That's about the extent of my poultry egg knowledge.

Well I hope it's not a "he" chicken  but they just turned a year old in May.
