I'll let you come practice on my garage and attic first. You supply the foam. I'll spring for Busch light. When I say shop it’s really just a pole barn with a dirt floor. So mess I’m not real scared of
R7 per inch. I've been told anything after 7 inches is a waste of money. Another way is 2 to 3 inches of foam and then net and blow in the rest. mtmuley
I'm curious as to how it is easy to diy polyurethane spray foam. Where do you get the spray rig and enough material for a whole house? We use spray foam in all of our projects and the spray rigs are pretty involved. mtmuleyI used to do it myself on every house I built. I can’t buy it as cheap as I can have it done now. It’s pretty easy to do though, if you do it yourself.
I used the kits that have two 5 gallon tanks. It comes with hoses to hook to both tanks and it mixes as you spray. You throw the tanks away when you’re done. When I built my personal home in 2020, the kits were $700 each. They have almost doubled since then and are not cost effective anymore.I'm curious as to how it is easy to diy polyurethane spray foam. How many square feet of coverage for 700 bucks? Our houses take multiple 55 gallon containers. mtmuleyI used the kits that have two 5 gallon tanks. 600 square ft. If I remember correctly, my house took 7 or 8 of them. That was just the walls. I have ICF foam block in my crawl space and blow in in the attic. How many square feet of coverage for 700 bucks? Our houses take multiple 55 gallon containers. mtmuley

Menards has the small version on the shelf. It took two kits to just do my rim joists. Maybe 16” x 200’. They were 200 ish a kit back in 2018.How many square feet of coverage for 700 bucks? Our houses take multiple 55 gallon containers. mtmuley
I should add that for the 2x6 walls it’s 2” of foam and 4” batts.600 square ft. If I remember correctly, my house took 7 or 8 of them. That was just the walls. I have ICF foam block in my crawl space and blow in in the attic.
We have done full fill foam in 2x6 walls. Better make sure electrical, audio and video, any low voltage plus plumbing is in order. The 2 to 3 inch foam plus blown in or batts is a great way to go. mtmuleyI should add that for the 2x6 walls it’s 2” of foam and 4” batts.
