Anyone on here know of a quality and fair priced packer that can get some horses/mules/llamas 8-10 miles back in half a day to get elk meat out in Southern Colorado? We are planning to pack camp and gear in on our backs, but if we get an elk down, we'd like to get it out as quickly as possible (going early season) to allow the other hunter to possibly fill his tag. I know in Colorado if you are paying someone to pack out meat, they have to be a licensed outfitter. Just curious if anyone has used a packer they can recommend around the Gardner/Walsenberg/Trindad area.
