So Europe......

I'm not going to lie, when we were changing servers at work, which effectively meant there were two days were you couldn't get any real work done, I totally google maps/street viewed these islands and put them on the bucket list to see someday.

Bighornram. I am sorry I missed this. thank you wilm1313 for giving me a heads up

yes sir, it is only 500km from the Canary Islands. Guests sometimes wanted to go when they came for a visit . VERY quaint and very beautiful.

We had a dessert wine once that was to kill for

MMM,Desert wine!...Ha!,Ha! 〽💥

To make you laugh even more, we helped start the process on one trip. Everyone who enjoys wine should Pigeage at least once in their life.

Dirtclod, not to derail the thread---but--Jan in Arizona --are you carrying your bow with you everywhere you go (-;

JRYoung, a man after my heart. Glad you enjoyed it!

I know smoking is not allowed anymore and that is a good thing, but I admit to enjoying a glass of wine around the camp fire at night when my husband had a glass of scotch and a fine cigar. He never smoked cigarettes and only cigars on occasion, but the campfire was one of those occasions and he always remembered to pack a bottle of wine for me. Of course, I also enjoyed a glass or two with dinner when in a restaurant or at home (-;

Bighornram and jryoung----thanks for the jump start, for a short walk down memory lane

Europe,due to lack of funding I am sitting out Javelina and Deer this year.That and
I have to find a new Honey hole,mine has been overrun with snowbirds on ATV's and thier
lap dogs. Maybe the Coyotes can snag a few for a tasty treats.
Quail populations are way up this year,so I am filling the freezer with Gambels off our back property.
Besides once in a blue moon a pig wanders into the back yard for a visit.Pictures only....of course. 〽💥

$500 retail for the bottle, expensive, but not ridonkulous in the wine/liquor world. There are thousands bottles out there that are released at this price and take decades to come into their prime.
The bottle says 1937. That's older than Noharley. I would have guessed it cost at least as much as a non resident Montana elk tag!

Bighornram, noharleyet

being older than that bottle of wine, I can guarantee you whoever said "wine, like women, get better with age" was NOT an old woman !

I admit to being cranky a bit lately and sometimes I ask myself, "what would the honey badger do right now" and then mimic that behavior, but I dont. I did tell a young lady recently that she should consider not wearing any underwear and perhaps she wouldn't get her panties in a bunch so often. She was not amused, but she also hasn't been back, so whatever works (-:

However, I remember waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay back when I said. The first thing on my bucket kist is to fill the bucket with wine.
.

big horn ram, this thread has also been educational. Madeira, never had heard of it. Pigeage, had to look that up also. Damn, those Honey Badgers are nasty, forget the Wolverine.

It will be a few years before I am in a position to spend 500 on a bottle of wine, but I am looking forward to it:love:
