Did any of you catch the article in the paper the other day. The head ranger(Keith Graves) for the Coronado National Forest said that the illegal allien problem has become so bad, that the Nogales Ranger District, which includes Units 34a, 36b, 36a is recomending that hunters, campers hikers, and other recreationalists NOT camp on forest service land. He also hinted that the Forest Service is considering CLOSING the Forest, because the Forest Service can no longer gaurantee the safety of hunters, campers, hikers and others.

Freaking Incredible. What next?

Not 100% sure yet, probably a couple units N. of phoenix...december hunts.

I've heard the southern units are an absolute zoo with atv's and assclowns around every cacti...

Hate to tell you Buzz but most of the Monster coues are in the southern units.....But if you must hunt north try 6a or unit 23.....also unit 27 has some nice ones.

Buzz the warning has nothing to do with ATV`s [not the problem here] |oo

But this thread is about hunting and saftey on the Arizona border [United States] hump
Don`t you find it unacceptable that the head ranger [Graves] has to issue a warning on your public land? hump

cjcj, hate to break it to you...but I think you're out of the loop on big coues....at least from what I've seen and heard...

I think the FS is over-reacting just a bit... I'm not trying to downplay the problem. But, lets be realistic...I think pitching your tent in Phoenix would be multitudes more dangerous than the current situation in 36. Agreed?
