I live in Colorado, I've forgotten what snow looks like this year, is it that white stuff that used to fall from the sky?
The neighbor has a habit of leaving a large pile of corn out behind their place. it tends to attract deer & turkey, as one would suspect. The turkeys roost in a copse of red pine between their place and ours. They roost there regardless of the corn though, as it's a natural funnel between the roads with a powerline cut providing a path of least resistance.
There were about 8 or 9 birds in the pines this morning, wondering wtf we were doing making more loops through the snow.
2 more inches overnight with 4-6 by Friday morning.
We saw the sun for 2 days over the weekend. Now we must suffer for our indulgences with more snow.

Sometimes you just have to make do to go snowmobiling. Redneck transportation with ratchet straps. I am betting duck tape and zip ties are in there somewhere too!

Always WTH when certain areas of country get blasted from precipitation and others are devoid of it. It always cycles around but sometimes not fast enough since we humans look at climate in our little window of existence. Heck, the ice age was just 9500 years ago and interesting to read how the great lakes were formed when it receded. And no, I did not personally recorded it in real time.

Yesterday in my part of MT we had a power outage and 60 mile an hour winds and 50 something temps
24 hours later 5-6 inches of snow
Winter is only visiting for the weekend apparently, their predicting back up in the 70’s by Tuesday, and with me out from surgery and can’t walk that snow ain’t going anywhere till it melts

60 mph wind...just a breeze.
Had a dust storm yesterday here with visibility cut to 200 yards or so. Cant say how many semis tipped over on the highways.

Wind storm with 92 mph gusts whips through Cheyenne, causes damage, power outages
CHEYENNE – A heavy wind storm whipped through Cheyenne all day Thursday, causing multiple downed power lines, uprooted trees, and damage to buildings and cars.
Similar here in Idaho. We are predicted for up to 3 inches of rain through tomorrow with lots of flood warnings

In WY, @ what point is considered 'high winds?'60 mph wind...just a breeze.
