SNOW in the Sunshine State

So our state of Queensland is known as the sunshine state. Well this morning winter has certainly arrived on the border area, which is about 3 hours drive from the capital Brisbane. Light snow has been falling since early this morning. The last 2 times I can remember it snowing here was 1984 and 2015, so pretty rare. I prefer the cooler weather myself - I’m looking at it as Montana training

The snow fields further south opened a week early this year. They are hoping for a bumper season.

When I was there in 2011 I remember it snowed in Toowoomba and that was interesting.

YEP - 15 Celcius is cold for us, so it is proper freezing.
