Well this is the year that I'm sure I'll draw LE tags. Never thought I would hope not to draw tags but at the ripe old age of 28 this guy gets to have hip surgery in the next month or so. Going to be down until mid October if I'm able to have the surgery in May.

I feel bummer about it but at the same time it should help me in the upcoming years to be more mobile and hunt is the nasty stuff again.

I take my health pretty seriously and stay active so I hope that I'll be able to recover quickly and be able to do some shorter trips.

They will have you up and walking the day of surgery if there are no complications. Hip surgery has advanced by lightyears. You will do fine.

I don't think that I will be down for the season totally but won't be able to do what I normally do. Im have the upper part of my femur ground away. Thankfully not a replacement but still pretty invasive.

Anterior approach?

Woah, that sucks. Was this a lingering thing that came to a head all of a sudden?

At 28 as well I’ve had a few injury scares that looked like I might miss out on some hunting, but thankfully it’s never come to that.

Good luck with recovery, whitetail hunting on weekdays is always a decent option depending on where you are.

In 2020 I had a horse decide that he wanted to be in the cab of my truck as I was driving down the highway. He ran into my driver side door and has caused me problems for the last 5 years.
