For many years now, I have been venturing into the mountains each fall, with only my horses for company. This past season was no different, accept for a few unexpected issues along the way. Most importantly there were plenty to bugling bulls, and it was a great adventure in God's country! If you have some downtime and want to watch a good elk hunt, this one's for you.

Hope you enjoy!

Hellava self video hunt! Enjoyed "being" there! Well done! I noticed you were using the orange poly stirrup which I like a lot for back country; bigger and wider for bigger boots sure nice comfort for ride.

100%. Got tired of fighting with the regular ones. Then, the orange one's cross bolt bent and had a washer fall off. Put it back on in the mountains with para cord and haven't had to touch it since. That's been around ten years or so!

You put together a great story with your video.

You might have had a similar problem, that I've had. One of my horse trailers has a minor short somewhere. If I leave the trailer connected to the truck, it will drain the battery over a span of several days. My solution, so far, is to make sure to disconnect the trailer wiring from the truck, when I get to where I'm going to be.

Thank you!

Yep, I will be disconnecting it from now on! Turns out my alternator was going bad. Stranded me and my daughter on the side of the highway while coming home from an antelope hunt! LOL.... All power to the truck completely dead!
