Do you carry one in the chamber while big game hunting?

How would you go about closing a bolt on a round without having the firing pin cocked? Is the firing pin not protruding from the bolt face if it's not cocked?
With my later model Sako 75 there is a non-moving housing that fully covers the rear of the bolt and fully protects the firing pin from being pushed forward in rare case it was struck there,

Also there is a button that when depressed allows the rifle to be uncocked with the safety still on.

One does not intentionally "rub off a safety", but if you fasten your rifle to your backpack, the jostling and rubbing against the pack can "rub off" safety. I also have hunted that long and have had the safety rub off on my pack. That is another reason not to carry a round in the chamber.
Thank you for the clarification. I never wear a backpack while hunting as we don’t have to walk the distances that hunters west of the Mississippi are used to. Now I understand. If I had my rifle strapped to a backpack I most certainly would not have a round in the chamber.
