Saw him at Gruene Hall a few winters ago....beautiful voice, great writer. Past the Point and this one are my favorite:

67 seems way too young to die from dementia. I had the privilege of growing up in the 80s and 90s and listening to some great country music. Sad to see some of the artists leaving us.

He came out and sang Small Town Saturday Night when I was at the Grand Ole Opry in summer of 2008.

YouTube keeps recommending me Hal Ketchum videos when I am mindlessly scrolling, and I’m not complaining.

I think this was taken on a cell phone, but just 7 years ago he was still so clear and powerful.
