Very cool! I dig Rendezvous black powder celebrations. Used to have a real blast earlier days for the NW MT events. Era based food vendors set, canoe events with black powder shoots from the canoe as the other navigated, horse back bow arrow shoot, black powder, tomahawk competitions.

I concealed my identity though I thoroughly enjoyed myself!
Thought someone caught onto me at one point! A young buck yelled out, "Jeremiah Johnson!".
I 'bout jumped out of my skivies! I looked over though the buck was pointing at some guy trying to look like me. Ha!

Still enjoy the primitive events, and even the not so primitive ones. After a lengthy hiatus, am getting back into action, and loving it.

I also did F&I re-enactments AND rev War. Travel to actual battle fields on the east cost. I thing the family shot was in Massachusetts or Morristown NJ.

If you get a chance to travel to Pinedale, WY, you can checkout the Green River Rendezvous.

it is really neat to read about where the historical events actually occured and drive by them on the Highway ...
I really liked the Dubois rendezvous events back, 1995-2003 was the time frame I had opportunity to enjoy. I returned to Dubois a few years back and it has drastically changed! Big money flipped that incredible community into a second Jackson... life

The billionaires pushed the millionaires out of Jackson and into Pinedale, Cody and Dubois is what I hear from my resident friends .

My oldest son asked me if I wanted to get back into it. Seriously thinking about it. All I'm missing is leathers britches and small wall tent.
