The 1964 Voting Rights ActAs there shouldn’t be, because voting laws are the Constitutional right of the States. I hope you aren’t suggesting this, too should fall under Big Government’s purview?
It is mind boggling how quickly we went from smaller government, right to privacy, personal responsibility and Constitution-waving to clamoring for Federal overreach, and standing in line to sign up for the surveillance state. What is happening?
There shouldn’t be a comprehensive national database on citizens at all. Ever. Linking every person’s data serves no legitimate purpose. In this day and age, data is a weapon, and will be wielded accordingly.
